Wow that's really very sad. He was a very sensible designer and I always enjoyed any 808 product that had the panas touch to the packaging.

He's certainly one of my top 4 among Farrow, Saville, and the Designer's Republic.

I personally know James Doman from many years ago when I worked for an animation company called Nelvana in Toronto. James worked for Energy 108 and had a brillian show called "Hardrive at Five". He later migrated to the UK and formed a group called Cargo Funk and I'm not sure what happened...

Any chance 808 state has in their archives any live recordings that could be mastered for a live cd release? I'd love to get a mastered live recording from 808's don solaris days or from the G-Mex Turbo / Cities in the Park days. I know there's bootlegs out there... but a sonically superb recording ...
