A Spooky Return
Its been a long wait but I have to share the excitement that is the return of Spooky.
Those who saw them tag along with 808 on the megadog events will know how unique their live sound was.
I never thought I'd recapture that boyhood feeling of excitement when you discover a certain sound or band for the first time, as I did when I first heard Pacific, Chime or Little Bullet, but alas that feeling has returned. I only hope they don't stray into the commercial sector like so many others and can rekindle that original magic.

With 21st century myspace advertising this band is finally going to make it big, 13 years after their debut album, and well deserved too.

There're more. Some are outdate. But the Dub House Disco compilation has standed the test of time for me. Also on the Spooky tip, and Intoxication, Oh Yeah and Let Go.

The Dub House Disco comps are fantastic.
Guerilla records used to churn out some classics like the Drum Club - Alchemy & U make me feel so good.
Also another favourite of mine Jo Bogaert - Water.
Try and get yer hands on D.O.P's "Musicians of the mind" It's a superb album.'Steve' wrote:I only got 'Gargantuan' like two weeks ago. Incredible!!!!!! A lot of people say this and 'Leftism' were the main 'progressive house' albums but i prefer this.
And although I haven't heard those remixes of Schmoo, that is one tune!
You'll just have to look around mate. You can pick up the odd thing on Amazon Marketplace, you should aslo try http://www.musicstack.com/ for all yer musical needs'Steve' wrote:Wow sounds like Guerilla were a good label. All I knew about them was that William Orbit owned it! Or something along those lines. Mind you I couldn't find that d.o.p. album on ebay-wheres the best place to look for these records??
