MADCHESTER GOES TO THE MIDLANDS

If you're fed up with superstar DJ poseurs and like the idea of an unpretentious rollicking good laugh on a Monday night, look no further. Birmingham's Code venue will shortly be hosting a new weekly Monday night entitled Happy Mondayz, which will feature Madchester DJs. The night will kick of on Monday September 30 with DJ sets from Bez (Happy Mondays) and Clint Boon (Inspiral Carpets). Subsequent Mondays will operate a rota system, whereby at least two of the following DJs will play: Bez (Happy Mondays), Manny (Primal Scream / Stone Roses), Bernard Sumner (New Order), Craig Gill (Inspiral Carpets), MC Tunes (808 State/ Dust Junkies) and Andy Rourke (Badly Drawn Boy / The Smiths).
