Hi all,

3 8080808 (Gmex Mix)
4 Boneyween
5 Kinky National
6 State To State
7 Revenge Of The Girlie Men
8 Magical Dream (Instrumental)

9 Paradan
10 Chisler
11 Lopez (Brian Eno/Metaphorically)
12 Joyrider (Sure Is Pure Remix)

808 88 98

Standard release, no bonustracks. Why not taking the opportunity to release a new “best of” called 808 88 08 with different tracks??

MC Tunes - North At Its Heights

No bonusdisc here, but a lot of bonustracks added to the standard albumtracks:

11 The Only Rhyme That Bites (7"Version)
12 Tunes Splits The Atom (Rap)
13 Dance Yourself To Death (Bassless)
14 Primary Rhyming (7"Version)
15 The Only Rhyme That Bites (12"Version)
16 Tunes Splits The Atom (Zero Gravity Mix)
17 Tunes Splits The Atom (Creamatomic Instrumental)
18 Primary Rhyming (Extended Mix)

Very good detective work - you beat me to it! :)

Very impressed with the tracklisting - lots of surprises and unreleased mixes there...

Looking forward to them! 8)

As to adding stuff to 808:88:98 - remember that anything post-Don Solaris is non-ZTT...

The North at its Heights bonus cd ,is a guess , its not been sorted at all
I would nt want 3 other versions of Primary Rhyming ..nor 7 inch edits,
would defo want Dance your self to death (german comp) Is that different to
The ski film one?... ignore that list.
Also have floated the idea of 8088808 to ZTT to pass on to the Japanese
and this is a possable (thanks Pete Z) As a tweak. obviously the main body of 8088889 would remain but may be change the pacific/cubik mixes
extra tracks..could go into outpost ,we could use new mixes from OT.
Suggestions welcome.

All bonus cd s are correct except North at Its Heights ,which would have a slightly later release any way in Japan Only.
Japan are allways raceing to put out material before Europe,I think thats part of the deal.
8088898 is included in the japanese deal with the new distributers .but what
has been suggested here on the forum is a slight modification of 8088898
to be called 8088808 and to include extra tracks and modifications.Which could include Outpost Transmisions tracks if the band want that.So its still 808states greatest hits but a new edition.(thinking a very similar sleeve, with the" tank" artwork so as not to delay it too much) .Timescale on 8088808 would be slightly later as well as it will be japan only release.

Excellent stuff, not sure there's much for fans of 90 (presuming you already have Utd State 90) but it looks like the bonus discs will have some hidden gems!

Bumper few months for us 808 fans! Must start saving up now!

Great. Look all damn exiting.

We can argue for ages about tracklistings. But one thing I really miss is Pacific 909.

For suggestions on Japanese bonus tracks on North At It's Heights and Japanese 808:88:08 I would suggest looking at the topic
808 ZTT CD bonus re-issues: proposed tracklistings which are:

The North At It's Heights Bonus disc:
The Only Rhyme That Bites
Essential (well, not really in this case) :
The Only Rhyme That Bites 7" instrumental (b-side) Vinyl only.
The Only Rhyme That Bytes (Extended Version). Is quite different however appeared on regular UK CD single.
Others:
The Only Rhyme That Bites Optical remix
The Only Rhyme That Bites 808:99 remix
Tunes Splits The Atom
Essential:
Tunes Splits The Atom (Creamatomic rap), 4:16. Reason: Vinyl only.
Tunes Splits The Atom (Creamatomic instrumental), 4:13. Reason: Vinyl only.
Tunes Splits The Atom (Cool Atom rap), 3:27. Reason: Vinyl only.
Tunes Splits The Atom (Cool Atom instrumental), 3:27. Reason: Vinyl only.
Other:
Tunes Splits The Atom (Zero Gravity mix). Reason: Not rare, but it's a nice alternative (instrumental) version if the above aren't possible due to sampling issues.
Dance Yourself To Death
Essential:
Dance Yourself To Death (5:38 ). Unique 1989 version from very hard to find 'License to Thrill' Soundtrack (Cassette only!).
Dance Yourself To Death (4:37). Unique 1989 version from rare German Acid compilation CD album titled 'Dance Yourself To Death (compilation)'.
Dance Yourself To Death (Bassless mix), 4:18 (instrumental version from Tunes Splits the Atom 7" b side - unavailable on CD).
Other:
Dance Yourself To Death: Marley mix (nice, but not rare and could give sampling problems).
Dance Yourself To Death performed on Snub TV (early rehersal in Eastern Bloc basement) [maybe more something for a DVD some day]
Primary Rhyming
Nothing essential here (maybe one of the single releases):
Primary Rhyming (7" mix)
Primary Rhyming Extended mix)
Primary Rhyming (Extended) Instrumental mix. In fact both the extended instrumental and the instrumental are exactly the same.
Boardwalk live tracks?
Hitsquad m/cr?
Pump???

808:88:08 Bonus disc. Here are the ideas we collected for an Outpost Transmission bonus disc:

Essential:
Quincy's Lunch (Original Slut Smalls 7") Reason : Best version of the track? Absolute must to have Quincy in some format. (SMALL002) Length 4:45. The Outpost CD version could in theory go on CD1 (as on Japanese Outpost) if no opposition.
Invader / SW1, Reason: CD single released Nov 99, not featured on any albums. (BLCDS43) Length 5:07. However, best to use an unreleased version, as on 'Made In Manchester' TV programme.
Eastern Standard, Reason: Unreleased track, played live.
Fajita. Reason: Internet exclusive. Length 5:35
Others:
Doctors & Nurses, Originally released on US album. Length 6:38
Brown Sauce, Originally released on US album Length 5;33
Long Orange (Testa Rossa) Originally released on US album. Length 4:59
Metaluna, exclusive track from CD compilation 'Hear You Soon' Length 5:31
Santolo, Globalstate exclusive MP3 track. Length 6:12
Ghostly Ghostly, Globalstate exclusive MP3 track. Length 6:16
Stickyhop, Globalstate exclusive MP3 track. Length 6:14
Bartong Bridge, Globalstate exclusive MP3 track. Length 4:59
Saxasalt, Globalstate exclusive MP3 track. Length 5:05
Nylon, Globalstate exclusive MP3 track. Length 3:52
Box 'o' cream, Globalstate exclusive MP3 track. length 7:09
Yoyo (Long Organs) Globalstate exclusive version MP3. Length 11:05
Full Nelson, b-side track on Invader CDS. Length 7:21
Invader, possibly (Vegas Soul Remix 1) Length 7:15 (if not a
unreleased version?). Mix is unreleased on CD, but very dancefloor orientated.

Yep, I was being ungrateful Nick, Any new stuff is a bonus, 3 new versions is enough I suppose!

Really looking forward to these, Quadrastate was fantastic and the re-releases look cracking too, plenty of new material to enjoy!

As for an 808:88-08 release, does the OT stuff fit on there? None of the material was released as a single? - I agree as it's an 808 album it should feature in a 'best of' work, but then surely Prebuild, Newbuild etc..... stuff should be on there too? (I know that's a rights problem) if you are looking at a greatest hits comp then OT stuff doesn't fit.

Graham - Perhaps Rephlex could release Prebuild, Newbuild and Quadrastate with bonus CD's ????? (ok, maybe I should have saved that for April.....)[/quote]
