Sorry.....as a bonus disc to 808:88-08 maybe it does fit, however would'nt it be great to have some brand new stuff too ala state to state 3?

Well, for 808:88:08, I think that the following three tracks could be contenders (space permitting, of course):

Quincy's Lunch (Slut Smalls 7" version)
Invader
606

Bumper few months for us 808 fans! Must start saving up now!
4 unreleased mixes on the 90 Bonus CD...

Which ones are they? Most tracks are from Utd State 90, and Cobra Bora (Call The Cops Mix) is from The Extended Pleasure Of Dance. I had hoped to find some of the US mixes of Pacific there, as well as 909.
On Ex:El, I'd love to have Cübik (Tomix) and Ooops (Utsula Head Mix) included.
Anyway, a great package, lots of unreleased stuff and hopefully great sound quality (especially on 90).

Concerning 808:88:08, I have always wondered why Timebomb was missing on the original version.

Well, you do get an unreleased live version of Pacific (live at the Brit Awards)... And 909 is on the US promo CD (admittedly, that is hard to find, though)....

Magical Dream Instrumental is unreleased, and Cobra Bora (Call The Cops Mix) is unreleased on CD...

Okay, 8080808 *might* be 808091 (Live) off Ooops, but it might not be...

There may well be other places you can get some of the other tracks in the future....

What Brit Award? Is this the holy grail Optical 90 ending version I have been mouning about for decades?

I do not care about availabillity or vinyl only versions. Fact like that does neither qualify or disqualify for me. A 90 bonus disc is incomplete without Pacific 909. Too bad. Better the track was done in the first place.

Looking at the track listings for the bonus cds I think 808 have hit the nail on the head. There are enough great previously released tracks on there for people new to 808 and there is more than enough for us fans. I can't wait to get my hands on them.

Of course there are tracks that didn't make it - but what made it in looks great.

On the subject of tracks on 808:88-08 reworkings of cubik and pacific is a great idea. And I think fitting quincy and invader on is a must.

Without sounding greedy whats the chances of a bonus disc to go with it? Marks idea of State to State 3 is a fantastic one and would certainly be a way of fitting in some of the outpost era tracks as mentioned by Markus.

And without sounding like a stuck record it would be great to have a cd quality copy of Global state if there is a bonus cd as it is a really chilled out track (or perhaps a re-edited version of it). Also worth thinking about is the live style version of In Yer Face as it rocks. Fuzz Nasty, Cubik and Donkey Doctor all live and perhaps the new track.

Any way good choices so far, can't wait to hear the exclusive tracks.

What a year!!!

Yup - moral of the story: don't write messages just before you're about to go out for the day! :P

Oh, and if you have an unreleased version of Pacific, you can't really have another version of Pacific on the same disc....

I'm dissapointed by the tracklisting for the "Ninety" re-release.

I've had Utd State 90 since 1990 so to find the extra tracks from that included on the re-release is dissapointing...true my cd has seen better days but after years of waiting...

Was really hoping that 909 would be included, for whatever reason that it's not there is a shame.

I did have that Pacific Promo CD from Tommy Boy but sold it on eBay as I needed the money :(

Who knows, it might surface somewhere, but this has been a missed opportunity.

I'll still probably buy the reissues anyway (I wonder if they'll be on download?)

^ The reissues on the front page of HMV Japan! (go down to 'Dance and Soul)

It also mentions they will be of the 'paper sleeve' format that has become so popular in Japan - is this the same for Europe?

Nope, the Japanese releases will have the different sleeve design - can't comment on whether the rest of the artwork is the same (i.e. same sleeve notes inside)?

Oh, btw, HMV Japan has release dates of 08/08/08! :P
