I went to the Hacienda Warehouse Party because it was 808 State on my doorstep but I can't really stretch to London travel and accomodation. Especially since its not really an 808 State gig.
Had it been a Manchester gig then I'd be right there.
I'm sure it'll be a top night and I look forward to the piccies. I'll be celebrating 8/08/08 by taking my daughter to the zoo. Mmm.. what music shall I play for the journey?
Apologies for reply - I really shouldn't pop into internet cafes whilst on holiday (Barcelona) just after a drinking session!
Which, of course, meant I completely misread your message...
Unconfirmed means that the promoter has not yet finalised things (contract etc) with 808 State's booking agency. I've asked Doug of Coda to send me an e-mail as soon as the DJs have been confirmed. That's about all I can do.
We realise some of you were hoping to be celebrating 080808 in Manchester, but we promise to do the 808 State guys proud down in London.
They're going to be playing a classic set so hope you can make it down. And the support acts will round-off a massive night. Arthur Baker no less! plus DMX Krew and I-f, keeping the sound of the 808 alive.

Fans from abroad wouldn't have cared whether it was Manchester or London, the issue is more that it's a DJ set as opposed to a live show. Most of us can't justify flying somewhere 'just' for a DJ set. Still, you've got a great line-up - have fun!
hmmmmm, I just don't know what to do, decisions decisions. Is this just the normal DJ set they usually play, or is it gonna be a more 808 based 'mix session'.
Can't, made other plans...to be honest the announcement a week or so before this 8.0.8 date made it impossible for me...now I'm going to barcelona for tapas, san miguel, and a good shag (hopefully).
Still would rather be at Jacks gettin...
