Sorry for going off-topic here again, but it's very interesting to see the problems a band as large as New Order are having with their remasters:

Hallo! My first post! Long time 808 state fan who found this board via google.

I picked up the 808 State ZTT reissues this week (which was the US release date). I'm very happy with them, but -- as noted above -- acting spoiled that the bonus additions weren't as extensive as I wanted them to be, at least for 90 and ex:el.

My personal harumph: No "Leo Leo feat. Raagman"? (from the UK "In Yer Face" single) That was one of 808's acest tracks, especially with Raagman's contribution!

ANYWAY, I came to ask this question: while the US vs UK 90 are extremely different as we all know, I didn't realize there were differences between US vs UK ex:el until I noticed "Cubik". The US version used this 9+ minute 4/4 minute remix of the track... not amazing, but a nice change from the original (keeping in mind the original in the U.S. first appeared just months before on Utd. State 90) while the UK version just used the original (which also makes sense, given that "Cubik" never made it to 90 UK) which leads to me to wonder...

...what's the official remix name of the US ex:el remix of "Cubik"?

I'm ripping all the reissues and originals/old singles I bought to iTunes to create the ultimate 808 state playlist, and I was hoping I could use a more exciting name than "Cubik (US ex:el remix)". :)

Cubik (Tomix) is from the 12" remix of Cubik/Olympic and the US 90 LP/CD!

Yes, Tomix. I always thought the name was a tribute to Tom Silverman / Tommy Boy records but could be wrong?

Thank you!

It's a bit embarrassing as I've been wanting to hear "Cubik (Tomix)" since i heard about in 1991 only to realize now that I've always had it. 8)

Cheers for the all the reviews, Ian - there's another one in this month's Wire magazine, btw - I'll attempt to scan it in on Friday.
