Recorded at Sarm Studios, produced by Trevor Horn and featuring a top 10 artist, Doreen Waddell, MC Tunes lost tapes have been rediscovered. 24 years later Hacienda records with Peter Hooks golden seal of approval are releasing them.

After a fall out with the era defining ZTT record label, the music industry and even Tunes had moved on to different ventures but the 9 tapes were left behind. Now is the perfect time for these tapes to be rediscovered, the music industry has finally caught up with the pioneer of the British Hip Hop scene and Tunes can now finally be seen as the mainstream artist instead of the outsider. The fact that these tracks are yet to be heard makes them current and relevant in today’s charts. Here’s the chance to remind fans of British Hip Hop, old and new, who the founding farther was and how he influenced today’s artists.

The Background that MC Tunes came from contributed to the fact that back then he wasn’t ready for the music world, and the music world wasn’t ready for him. Now the story has come full circle and it’s the perfect opportunity to release the album. At the album launch party MC Tunes will be performing his tracks and partaking in a Q&A with Terry Christian, who once described Tunes as “not just a rapper, more a Mancunian street poet.”

DAMAGE BY STEREO / Album Launch @ SOUTH Mcr / Sat 7th Feb starts with a Q&A with Terry Christian, followed by Live performance on stage then aftershow with Clint Boon, Tunes & Vince Vega.

MC Tunes' follow up to "The North At Its Heights" "Damage By Stereo", is set to be released on Hacienda Records at www.fac51thehacienda.com on Mon 9th Feb 2015 as a limited edition double CD with remixes and will also be made available for digital download on the site and across other major download sites.

The launch party for "Damage By Stereo" takes place this coming Saturday 7th Feb at South Nightclub Manchester from 9pm onwards where Tunes will be performing a live set, chatting with Terry Christian, whilst vince vega takes care of the Dj'ing and Clint Boon the aftershow.

For those who bought an early copy of Damage By Stereo, you probably got a 2 x CDRs?

If so, looks like you've got a limited edition, as Piccadilly Records are now sending out 2 x CDs!

Has anyone actually got this album? Would love to get hold of it but it seems to be out of print already.

Yeah, it was released twice - the first issue on cdrs and the next on proper cds - both available via Piccadilly Records.

Alas, both were very limited - the only way of finding it nowadays is digitally, alas.
