10x10 entered the charts 10 years ago today. As with every 808 release I can still vividly remember buying the CD.
I was a bit disappointed with the mixes despite there being 7 of them, the Black Eye mix probably being the better of them.
Memories of seeing footage on local TV of a night club playing the track and Simon Mayo introducing the track on Radio 1 "This one is for the Chancellor"
For all you budding DJ's out there, Gat Decors 'Passion' was heard with various acapella mixes at the time. I did one with the 10x10 acapella version and it fit perfectly, I was made up, have a go, it's great fun and sounds awesome.
I sent the lads a copy at Ducie but don't think they got it.
always remember the guys playing 10X10 on the 'juice' show on a friday night. remember darren on the bongos, kicking balloons around! can't believe that was a decade ago!!!
