Ok well I've threatned to put a track up for the board and here it is. I have many but I felt this is one of my better ones and has that 808 influence in it. Lemme know what you think.
The Infamous - Epiphany
(do a save target as)
hope it's not too rocky for the boards... I like to incorporate some vocals and egad even some guitar once in a while.
My band The Infamous (808 State inspired)

Hey man,
I downloaded this one last night and I have to say that I quite enjoyed it. Thanks for posting it.
The vocals were really great. (are they yours?) The music was good too. It reminded me of Dave Gahan's latest effort with the-rocky-but-more-on-the-electro-side of things.
If I could suggest anything to the creative table, at around the 2:02 mark were it drifts into the next part I may have something bridgey there to add some more interest to the track. Some sort of change in the song to add variety without adding too much at the same time.
Overall it's dope! I love the fact that so many of us are doing music of some sort on our own. And most of us share the sentiment that we are 808 inspired. They are the reason I started buying synths and gear. Even if they are not the soul inspiration for me, (there are too many) they are the most influential.
They set an important example that you can put out great records without worrying about what everyone else expects. They have always had a genuine honesty in their approach to music. To please themselves first and hope that others will be pleased. There should be no other way. Imagine feeling forced to put out a record that you are not proud of.
I would be surprised if that was ever the case with 808. All their records are original and amazing. (I'm of course - partial)
They have done this very well. Time and time again.

Hey Pat...
Joey Belleville from the Echoing Green did the lyrics and vocals. EG is a synthpop band. This track was released on their album Music from the Ocean Picture. I wrote the song and programmed it for this track. Then I sent it to Joey and he added the vocals over it and also cut it down to fit more of a pop format.
I see you are from the Toronto area. Do you guys want CuJo back now?
We'll take Mogilny and Sundin

The song changes keys four times within the song. The transition at the 2:02 mark is full of lower end frequencies... you really have to hear it on a decent system to appreciate that part. Laptop speakers and headphones don't do it justice There is big ass bass drop (courtesy the Juno 106) at around 2:09 I usually reserve for my more techno tracks.
But Joey did a good job with the key changes... definitely the hardest part of the song was switching between them. Hence why I think he used a lot of distortion on his voice.

I hope that the geeza stops slipping away and that he finds something to kiss it away - I'm sure he will given time!
If he needs a 'dr.' for any advice he could do worse than dropping me an email - he sounds like he may be a club casualty!!!
Either that or get a new dealer!
peace and positive vibes,
