For the Japanese speaking amongst you, there's a competition going on at hmv.co.jp to win a ex:el t-shirt. The image on the right is a mobile phone flash screensaver application, but I think it only works on Japanese mobile phones.

Is a bonus disc for 808:88-08 (State to State vol3??) still a possibility?

The shirt looks great...does that mean more shirts like that might be available over here or is it something exclusive to this competition?

Now that's a question that deserves an answer! :)

Yes, both Pacific and Cubik beat One In Ten (as well as "The Only Rhyme That Bites)... :P

In terms of the charts, One In Ten certainly wasn't 808's highest charting hit (the press release should really have made that clearer), BUT it seems to have been their highest selling according to Graham:
The track with UB40 is the single that’s sold the most for us, even though it only got to number sixteen or something.
(from Milkfactory interview)

A bit misleading in the press release though!

I finally received my Japanese CDs yesterday after they had been stuck in customs. The Japanese albums are now linked from the bottom of page http://www.808state.com/discogs/808_index1.htm .
I think I'll start a new topic for feedback / opinions on the remasters. It's a bit confusing now with UK & Japanese in two topics but flowing into eachother...

Apparently there have been great responses from shops in Japan for the 808 State Deluxe Editions - all 4 albums managed to enter the TOWER RECORDS top 10 chart, both club/dance and pop/rock categories.
