Got a feeling we've compiled this before?
Where are all the early tracks?
Personally, I'd prefer a live 808 State album!

Haven't got a lot to add to Pete's suggestion, although "Villains & Nerds" would be my choice as an addition (maybe replacing "Skin Up, Pin Up")? Dunno...

Yeah gotta have some early stuff in there, 'Flow Coma' is the obvious choice but 'Massagerama', 'Narcossa', 'Let Yourself Go', 'Disco State'...so many good tracks from that period! Assuming there were no copyright rules an all-encompassing 808 anthology would be very cool though.

808 live album preferred instead of a best of...but 808 early stuff def needs to be in a best of...

also what was that earlier comment from Graham on another post about playing a whole album on one night? i was convulsing, shaking and got a heavy flashback (spinning rooms, wavy paper people, laughing clowns and weird shit) when i heard that...

yeh we did it a few years ago, but as our taste changes from day to day, i'd thought i'd just get us talking again, lol

a mate recently did ask me if there was a best of 808 album, i said no, but there was a singles compilation about 10 years ago!

i've compiled the above into a best of (for the ipod), as well as an album between don solaris & outpost, including tracks such as rollerball, quincy, invader etc

For me, it would have to have Lift, Olympic and Plan 9.

I'd have Joyrider and Rollerball on disc 2 probably, I also have to admit to having a soft spot for Metaluna

'steve' is right-

i think the 808:88:98 album did it properly

but other than that-what else is there other than creed records material which could be included in a new "best of"?

there's been plenty of satisfying 808 reissues out of late...cheers!

i'll make my own best of!
