New Years Eve turned out to be a belter, with Darren and Andy playing longer than the advertised 3 hours. The club was a reasonable size with about 500+ people all having a great time.
I arrived at the club about 10:30pm with Darren playing the occasional tune with the DJ who was already on. Around about 11pm he took over and stepped up the pace a notch. Andy then appeared and they played back to back for the next hour.
Darren did a countdown to midnight then on midnight the opening bars of 'Pacific' (the '98 mix) came in and the place went nuts!
After that, came a mixture of tuff house, breaks and techno, old classics, the Bushwacka! mix of 'Billie Jean' and the Victor Calderrone mix of 'Cubik'.
The night continued with Mark Luvdup and other DJ's and many, many classics - "Jump for Joy", "Freak Out", "S-Express" and loads of piano house. The club closed at 8am with the last tune being Joe Smooths "Promised Land", by which time I'd been dancing for, ooh, about 8 hours.
Here's to 2003 being an amazing one!
BIG LOVE to you all!

Sounds a whole lot better than my New Year anyway. I spent £30 on a ticket to get into my local only to find about 75 people there (the place can hold 200 at a push). It got worse when it finished at 12:30, YES! 12:30!!!! At least the birds out-numbered the guys by about 2:1 though Went to a couple of parties afterwards and got home at 5am totally shit-faced. Ahh, the joys of a small town New Year
