End of the Month

Post by Ancodia »

They actually have the release date marked as the 31st March, but you can obviously pre-order for delivery on or around that date. And if I remember correctly when I ordered the 12" not only was it fast but the guys were very personable to deal with.
No signs on any domestic store websites (HMV, Virgin etc.) but I'll check with my mates in the local HMV in Belfast. They're already keeping an eye out for OT US, Toolshed etc.

Actually hydrogen always make their releases available earlier through their website than the official release date. I'm pretty sure they will ship now.

You are indeed correct Markus, after further searching the website does indeed state:

The Black Dog & Black Sifishi "Genetically Modified" (duke115) is now available on the online shop. The record will not be out in the shops until the 31/3, and includes remixes by Jimmy Cauty from the KLF, Technova, CJ Bolland, A1 People, Laub, 808 State and many more.
As I'm in no hurry I'll pick it up at the end of the month.

If anyone would like to purchase a second hand copy of the twelve inch (Played once only) I have a copy for sale. Otherwise it'll probably end up on eBay. It's hard work listening to 12"s when I sold my 1210s over ten years ago! :-?

Ah-ha, but it'll probably be a different version on the 12" over the CD!! :P

"Black Dog 'Genetically Modified' remix album news. The good news: it will feature the 808state remix, it will be available in vinyl as well as cd formats. The less good news: Release has been postponed to 31 March, the 808 mix will be edited down (how much can you cut off from a 5:47 mix?) and the album doesn't seem to feature a mix by A Guy Called Gerald."

Judging by the sample on the hydrogen site it does an early fade, making it about 25 seconds shorter than the 12" version. Can u confirm?

Yup, confirmed - 5:18 on the CD, as opposed to 5:47 on the 12".

Nick, whats the rest of the CD like? I bought the 12", but wondered is it worth splashing out for the CD?

BTW, Mark, haven't yet had a full listen to it yet - been working all hours this week... Hopefully, on Sunday...
