History of House by Chris Kempster (feat. BIG 808 article)

Post by PatFromCanada »

This is a must for ANY 808state fan. This book is a compilation of various magazine feature articles that focus on the production methods and the creative process of some of the most seminal electronic artists.

This also has a MASSIVE feature with 808state discussing the making of Quadrastate. It's a great article with a great deal of personal insight from Massey and Price. There are a couple a great photos of 808 in various sections of this book. It's truly a fantastic read.

I personally own a copy of this and I love it.

It also has a great technolgy section that covers the usual suspects of gear like the 808 - 909 - 101 - 303 ect...

Awesome history of house from detroit to the UK. Brillo!

Also features Baby Ford, A Guy Called Gerald, Kevin Saunderson, Goldie to name a few.

All appologies if you all have or know of this one. I highly reccomend this to any 808 fan.

Yeah. Bought it in London ages ago. Great one for gear freaks. Apart from the gear section, a lot of the articles are so old everybody is talking gear.

A lot of the lads 70's equip was Trevor Horn dust collectors as far as I know. Classy.
