I know it's old hat for most of you but I got opti buk in today and I'm estatic (region encoding be damned!).

S2S vol2 is superb and The Ten Ten is beyond good.

808 is my heaven.

:x The DVD is borked. I tried for an hour to get it to work...I could get the menu to show up only one time and nothing would play for very long before it stopped responding all together.

Oh well...I'm hoping ZTT responds soon so I can return it and get a replacement!

It's a great DVD.

Are you playing it on a PC DVD-Rom?

You might need a region hack, as it's a R2 Pal DVD, I use a tool called 'anydvd' install that and try it, or try it on a stand-alone DVD player.

It's quite rare that it's a disc problem thesedays - usually a software or player problem.

I tried both the region hack and changing the region legitimately. Considering I've never had problems with any other discs I've got to assume it's the media. But I'll continue playing with it until I exchange it.

BTW...I use DVD Region free which will play anything...even the RPC2 drives...so it is definitely the media.
