M.C. TUNES Vs 808 STATE
'The Only Rhyme That Bites' (125¼bpm)
(ZTT ZANG3T)

Only hitting The Club Chart in the wake of its pop success as too ridiculously fast CO be cool, this saliva spraying frantic white boy rap is excitingly prodded by bursts of the theme from 'The Big Country' (a nowadays sadly never seen though terrific star-studded 1958 western). flipped by 808 State's alternative 'The Only Rhyme That Bytes' instrumental treatment.

MC TUNES VS 808 STATE: The Only Rhyme That Bites
(ZTT)

808 State open the door of their twittering highest-tech palac eto Manc speed rap r Tunes, and let in a herd of cowboys too. MC Tunes leaves Silver Bullet standing at the stop light with his 'Look! I'm doing a wheely' style of accelerated rap, The States cut a mean enough robotic caper, and the theme from wide-open-plains Western The Big Country keeps butting in. Separately these are all fine, but together the posse's heading up Gimmick Canyon.

MC TUNES/808 STATE The Only Rhyme That Bites (WEA)

A heavy acid based hip hop track temporarily broken up with a sample that sounds like it's been taken from The Magnificent Seven. M.C. Tunes gives out his rap at 100mph with power and precision. He and fellow Mancunians, the 808 lads are sure to figure high in the dance charts. Wildly different from Pacific State. Worth a purchase.
