And, while we're on the subject, 808 State kick in to update what was, at the time, a poignant and rather restrained lament. Couldn't tell you if this cooks on the dancefloor, but the two halves sound about as compatible as Chuck n' Di. Ali Campbell's wistful voice and the original's sad, loose-kneed lope duck for cover from the State's glittering bastard whooshing, aluminium and gun-metal prowess. A shotgun wedding headed for heartache.
