It's hard to believe, but this month it's ten years since the domain 808state.com went online through Markus. 808 State had been present on the Internet as early as 1994, then under the feedback domain thanks to people like Iain Bennett and Keir Jens-Smith. To celebrate, we'll be having a drink at the Wang Revival party and also Graham has donated another archive track, titled Tibirius in the Sounds section. Tickets for the 6 October Rebuild live analogue jam @ Wang are now on sale through Warpmart. |

01:01:2007 Happy New Year! | |
The 808 forecast for 2007 looks similar to the one for 2006, i.e. we are waiting for the Quadrastate album and the ZTT re-issues. Quadrastate is looking very promising with an expected release date of 4 June. ZTT date unknown, rumours have it they will start off with the 90 album. 2006 was an unusually quiet year, with no 808 production or remix releases at all. However, December, normally a month reserved to the big guns, saw Graham's Massonix 'Subtracks' album being released, exactly one year after his Toolshed album. Other highlights included two live 808 State sets and one Massonix. For an overview, see the 2006 news. |
