01:01:08 Happy 08!

What will 2008 have in stock? There has been no news on the Rephlex Quadrastate album release and the ZTT album re-issues with bonus discs (Ninety, EX:EL, Gorgeous and Don Solaris). Let's hope we can celebrate 20 years of 808 State with these releases!

808 State will be playing a live gig in Europe, to be officially announced early February. Maybe they will play a few more festival dates. A possible party is being planned for 08:08:08 to celebrate 808's 20th birthday.

Releases in 2008 may include: Graham's remix of 'Pronoid' by Chrome Hoof and production of some tracks for Clarky Cat. Then there's the Danger Global Warming theme track by Black Smoke that Graham remixed. And of course it would be great if Graham's Sisters Of Transistors project got a release.

There were no 808 live performances in 2007 but the highlight of the year surely was Gerald Simpson and Graham Massey performing live together for the first time since 1989 at Club Wang in London! Recordings were made (audio & video), whether they will ever see the light of day remains unclear.

In 2007 we also celebrated ten years since the domain 808state.com went online. Numerous free mp3's were added, with the number of tracks and radio shows now exceeding 100.

The production / remix discography was radically revamped by Nick King and we are in the progress of doing the same with the visual 808 State discography.

Noteworthy 808-related releases in 2007 included:

Keep the faith. Markus.
